Greetings Divers!!!

From Darth Vern . . .
Well its been a pretty slow week since BSC and Wabank are covered with ice. So few people are allowed to dive. We have some great classes coming up:
  • Solo Cert this Sat the 15th with Capt. Dan Crowell of the Seeker.

  • On the Feb 22 and Mar 4 Dennie Leese is putting together a Equipment Specialty class.

  • Dennie Leese is planning another ice class on the 23rd of Feb.

  • On the 23rd of Feb is the 1st Annual Smokeys U/W Obstacle Refresher Course, details coming soon!

  • An Emergency First Responder class is scheduled for Mar 8th with John Gross.

  • A Dan O2 class is scheduled for Mar 21st with John Gross.

So there is no reason not to be active over the winter in your favorite sport DIVING. So with that said we did manage to get 2 reports from The Palm and from Don Badley.

From Bryan Palmer . . .
Well Sunday I found my self diving wabank with Frank McSorley owner of Wabank, and Telo (cave diver) & Melany (land support) from MD, who had just brought a new sony video camera and Light and Motion Housing & lighting system, it was to be the camera maiden dive one of many more to come for his sake!! well it was a bit brisk on the top side but once under water it seammed to be warmer, I think it Cold water diving is getting to my head. well we visited the ms peaches and then the U-69 and then over to the tug and fishing boat and finaly the sail boat and fish nets, and then back tracked back to the docks, A very good tive of 48 minutes with a Bottom depth of 100' water was a brisk 37-38 degrees and I had 30-35 ft of viz. Rick Huck decided to show his face for some after dive chatter and so did another Wabank Local. all in all a good day.

From Don Bradley . . .
Dive Report for Thursday at Willow Springs.
Since I had not been to Willow Springs in a month I felt it was time to rejoin the Irregulars for a dive. I was to arrive at 4:30 but ran late. I got there just after 5:00 and found Terry Martzall and Dave Hoshauer waiting for me in the Lobster Shack along with Jess (I forgot my weight belt) Zellers. I quickly suited up and joined Terry and Dave for a nice long tour along the wall after following the ropes out to the Kenworth. We followed along to the Mystry boat, the VIP and out to the Quest. We saw quite a few fish for a change. Vis was not all that bad. My computer showed 39 degrees for 55 mins. Dave had a hole in his one dry glove and we both had pretty cold hands. All in all, we had a real nice dive. The later group was just coming down to the platform when we were returning. I bumped into Jay Bell and had a look at his new light configureation. I had to leave early but the food layout sure looked good. I grabbed a quick bowl of Terry's famous Clam chowder. I'll be back next week for more.

Keep on diving and LIVE THE ADVENTURE!!!
