Hello Divers,

One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish

Blue Gill that is, related to the piranha family, curious creatures and the newest visible additions to the lake. Recently residing around the dock and from 12 ft up around the perimeter. Those fish released this winter seemed to have made a fin hold against the Bass.

We will now see if they can out populate the predators, (Bass have no manners they eat anybody you know). I ask for your help in feeding them on your dive. Please use only fish food that we approve. Please share with us any information you observe on your dives about the ecosystem. I have enjoyed many dives feeding the school of striped bass and blue gills. I welcome those of you who wish to share in the experience of the Amish Caribbean to the utmost.

The last boat is down in 30 ft of water in the south end. Soon the circle will be completed (by and by Lord by and by). That is as soon as Wabank Jim strings that line. The name for the last second to the vessel is "the Turtle Boat". It's named for the one who sacrificed his/ her life for the betterment of the finned community. So once again send in those suggestions for the name of the last ship down. The 150 ft hole has a platform now. After careful consideration and a heck of a lot of weight, down it went. Gary Sanderson reports a perfect landing a few feet from the down line. After untangling the down line from the platform (just once.. we hoped.) Gary's next task will be to design the perfect deep dive area. Any suggestions? get in touch with Gary I'm sure he'd appreciate the help. The habitat, somewhere at 103 ft., is the next task to be set up (hey Roland, where have you been). John Walker has been heading that up so all search and recovery divers should team up with him. Vern Heagy and Jim Brown have been busy finishing their photo course and we wait with abaited breath to see their works. We've been promised a CD and we will always be glad to post any pictures taken under the lake on the site.

There have been some "concerns" brought up by the Land owners that need to be addressed. so for all to I'd like to spell out some "rules" that we at Wabank live buy.

1. AT NO TIME are any persons allowed on or in the water without a Wabank Staff member there. Staff members are: Frank Mc Sorley, Scott Stoneburner, George and Jimmy when they are in the area, Darin Bolling, Jim And Helen Brubaker, Cindy William/Kinsley, Jim Brown, Mike Hoffman, Amy Kerr and the lovable Vern Heagy. One of these designated people must be present at any and all dives. We assign bubble watchers and they are they're for your safety. ANY PERSON found on the premises diving without permission will be prosecuted to the fullest. Period.

2. We are going to a reservation system. Due to our size and as the neighborhood gets built around us, we want to devise a system that blends the two harmoniously. We can only allow 15 divers on the property at a time. I am asking that you call ahead to reserve your time of dive. You may reach me at my cell (717) 615-2898. We want to provide a non-crowded, relaxing and enjoyable dive facility that will blend in with the neighbors around it. Classes and events that will exceed that must contact me two weeks ahead so that appropriate measures may be planned. Call and let me know the day, time and number of divers. Unless I get back to you, that time is confirmed. If you cannot come please call so that another might benefit. With the excellent conditions we have at times, it gets to crowed. For the water and fish conditions to improve. We need to maintain a sense of order so that you may enjoy the lake more.

3. We are looking at plans to build a suitable building, suggestions and all carpenters will be welcome. Dave Shenk submitted plans for a walk in ramp. As soon as it has been approved, it will be installed. The materials are there and we will appreciate any help when we start. This will keep the entrance way silt free and help with the donning of fins. The fish will love it also, more shade to attack divers from.

4. The dock at the corner of the north end is not for use by divers. While I have never seen anyone use this entrance, it is not available for use. All entrance and exits Must be made from the center dock area.

I am starting work on another smaller quarry to reclaim. I want to see if we can turn it around and make it suitable for fish raising. This is diving at its rawest form. Interested Qualified divers who would like to assist in the preliminary mapping should get in touch with me for details. Lastly I'd like to thank all of you who have helped to keep Wabank up and running. and also to those in the future whose talents I will call on to create and maintain a dive facility that's safe, fun and awesome. After all, we are only limited by the size of our dreams. Thanks again for diving Wabank and we look forward to seeing you on the bottom. From the top ofcourse because we can!

Sincerely,
Frank McSorley and Wabank staff
